Float back in time on the Virginia C, better known as the Woodland Ferry. Three autos at a time take the free
crossing over the beautiful Nanticoke River. Located in the village of Woodland in Seaford, Delaware, this 300
year old cable ferry is one the last of its kind in the eastern United States. This depiction is one of the last of
the original ferry. It was replaced by the New Woodland Ferry, a modern six car cable ferry opened in
September 2008.
